Watts was named in the starting lineup on four consecutive occasions, with his fourth start of the campaign coming against rivals Newcastle United. Loans To Stevenage And Mansfield Town
Watts joined League Two club Stevenage on a season-long loan agreement on August 16, 2019, having been named in Newcastle’s Premier League Asia Trophy squad ahead of the 2019–20 campaign.
