Alen Babic is a professional boxer from Croatia. He has competed in several different weight classes, including heavyweight and cruiserweight. He lost in the finals of Marko Calic in the 2015 Croatian National Championship and finally won it three years later, defeating Marko Calic. In July 2019, he made his professional debut, winning his bout in the second round.

Alen did not participate very much in 2020 owing to the pandemics, although he was successful in a few bouts and managed to win in 2021 against Damien Chambers.

Amateur Career

In the 2014 Croatian National Championship, Luka Babić advanced to the quarterfinals, where he faced Marino Bajamic. In the semifinals, Luka Babi beat Bajamic by RSC, Filipi by split decision again, and Milas by RSC for the third time. He took part in two Mustafa Hajrulahović Memorial tournaments in 2017; his wins were against Tlkanec by split decision and Quni via retirement.

In 2015, Alen Babić was a member of the Croatian national team. He won the quarterfinals over Petar Milas by TKO in the first round and Josip Bepo Filipi by unanimous decision in the semifinals before losing to Marko Calic in the final decision.

In the 2016 Croatian National Championships, he was beaten by RSC winners Valentin Kajtazi and Toni Filipi in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively. In the finals, Babić bested Marko Calic by a split decision.

After three bouts, he was ranked fourth. In 2016, Babić fought in the 43rd Chemiepokal for the first time. Likewise, In April 2016, at an Olympic qualification event in Nikolajs Grisunins, Babič faced off against Grisunins. He topped Grisunins by RSC but lost to Paul Omba Biongolo (RSC) in the quarterfinals.

He lost the opening bout of the 2017 European Boxing Championships, a decision going to Kristiyan Dimitrov.

In 2018, he won a silver medal in the Croatian National Championships, defeating Luka Pratljacic by a unanimous decision in the quarterfinals before losing to Toni Filipi in the semifinals by the unanimous decision. The two of them fought it out again in the 2019 Croatian National Championships finals, with Filipi again prevailing and earning a second gold medal.

In between these two fights, Babić also fought at the 2019 Slovenia Grand Prix, where he beat Angelo Gentile by RSC in the semifinals and Victor Schelstraete by split decision in the finals.

Professional Career

Alen Babic made his professional debut in July 2019, defeating Lazar Stojanovic. Likewise, Babić stopped the Serbian fighter in the second round with a TKO victory. He followed up with a first-round knockout of Morgan Dessaux and a second-round KO of Ramazi Gogichashvili in his next two bouts.

The COVID-19 epidemic prevented Babić from boxing in the first half of 2020. However, in his first fight of 2020, Babić was to face Shawndell Winters. He won the bout by a second-round TKO. After that, he fought twice more in 2020, recording third-round TKOs over Niall Kennedy and Tom Little.

On the night of June 12, 2021, Babic fought and defeated Damien Chambers in a third-round knockout to raise his record to 7-0. Then, on August 7, 2021, Babic overpowered Mark Bennett for a second time by winning after Bennett withdrew during the fifth round.
